 (Executive Retreat)

Objective: Empower the executive (or employee) team to make lifestyle changes to enhance their management (work) skills by improving their emotional, nutritional and physical health.

Scope of Class: This seminar starts with teaching the management (employee) team how to eat right to improve blood sugar, pressure and cholesterol levels and also to manage weight. Food models, 50/50 Plate, Diabetes Food Guide Pyramid, Nutrition Facts Label, portion sizes and journaling are the tools utilized. A discussion on physical health follows with focus on cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, losing fat and increasing muscle, improving posture and breathing. Lastly, emotional health is addressed with a review on signs and symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. Participants learn coping mechanisms, stretching exercises and relaxation techniques to help deal with stress and anxiety. The class closes with knowledge on a simple change process and how to keep a journal to document progress in lifestyle change.

 

Other uses for this seminar are manager/employee orientation, reorientation, morale building, or organi-zation culture change.

Presentation Format: Power Point with corresponding handouts. Length: Approximately 7 hours with one-hour lunch and one 15-minute break. Format is suited for a one-day seminar in-house or as a retreat. Information can be tailored to a half-day or two-day program.
