EXERCISE STARTS WITH ATTITUDE
(Weight Management)

Objective: Empower the customer to develop a personal exercise plan to help with weight management or weight loss, including how to maintain long-term weight loss.

Scope of Class: We start with a discussion on calories and how to burn off calories both in everyday activities and in a personal exercise plan. Customers learn about the stages of change in implementing a weight management program because understanding which stage they are in helps to clarify how to set their goals. We teach the the “4 Keys to Success” an individual can use in developing their personal exercise plan. The four keys include goal setting, making a plan, putting the plan into operation and handling setbacks. The class closes with knowledge on a simple change process and how to keep a journal to document progress in lifestyle change.

Presentation Format: Power Point with corresponding handouts. Length: Approximately 45 min to 1 hour.
