MOVE IT AND IMPROVE IT
(Cholesterol Management)
Objective: Empower the customer to understand the benefits of exercise as part
of a total health plan to improve cholesterol levels.
Scope of Class: We start the class with a review of the lipid panel and the
relationship between cholesterol and exercise. The benefits of exercise in
improving HDL and lowering LDL cholesterol levels are explained. Customers
learn the Four Components of Fitness necessary to develop a well-rounded
exercise plan. These are good nutrition, cardiovascular endurance, strength
training, and flexibility. The class closes with knowledge on a simple change
process and how to keep a journal to document progress in lifestyle change.
Presentation Format: Power Point with corresponding handouts.
Length: Approximately 45 min to 1 hour.
